    January 18th, 2010 at 1:55 pm

    Hi
I have sent my CV to your entertainment head offices at Christmas, but was wondering how long you will keep my CV on your file for. As I was unable to attend your last audition due to not being told about it till two days before the audition and as I was snowed in at home I could not travel to London and was wondering when the next set of auditions might take place. Another question I have is why do you not have any auditions take place in the south considering you have a resort on the south coast? I have always wanted to be a redcoat, I just hope I will get the chance to be one. Thank you From Claire ;0)

    January 18th, 2010 at 8:32 pm

    Hello!

Okay, basically, just like a few others on here, I’ve only just found this website! I’ve been looking for a Redcoat application website since last summer! and I couldnt find this… and so I emailed around and I recieved a reply from a lady called Hannah Fuller telling me to send my C.V to a certain address. I sent it soon after I received the address and I still have heard nothing. . . :( so I was just wondering if there are any more auditions? or if there is any other way to apply? or something. There just can’t be no way for me to do this. It’s always been my dream.. so please please please Mr/Mrs Butlins I really hope you can help me get the chance to become a Redcoat. :) Thankyou for reading this, Georgia

    Hey
I am 15 years old and I really would love to become a Butlins Redcoat I’m not that good at singing or dancing but I do love working with children and I love making people laugh and I also help out at a childrens club. Could you please let me know how I could work on my skills to become a Redcoat.

    Hi Hayley,

To be a Redcoat you don’t need to be a master of all so don’t worry if your not the best singer or dancer, what is most important is personality and dedication.

    Hi Anastasia,

Practice, practice, and more practice. There are many famous entertainers who started off as a Redcoat and I’m sure they will all agree with me it is about practicing your skills and having the right personality and level of dedication.

    Good luck.

    David

Hi Kirsten, Thank you for your interest in becoming a Redcoat. We hold auditions on a regualr basis and you can keep track of these here on this blog. Applicants must be 18 years of age and I’m afraid we would not be able to do auditions until your of age.

    I hope that helps.

Well, the age you require to be is 18, however its best to go into the business when you a tad older and wiser perhaps when you’re 20 or 21 :)

    Hiyaaaa Butlins.
This year I went 18, but since 14 i’ve had an interest in been an entertainer at a holiday resort and I still hold that interest now. For my holiday this year I went to Butlins in Skegness and i saw the Redcoats, this been my first time seeing them i knew this is what i wanted to do as i could tell i would really enjoy this job, however i do not know the type of skills i would need to be a Redcoat, I can sing and play guitar but i aren’t too sure what other skills or qualities may come in useful

    Hey :)

Well all the application details are above for everyone :) I’m guessing that the audition video shoud be able to show you’d be great at entertaining children, most of the redcoats I’ve seen can dance, a few can sing, but the best thing is being lively, bouncy, happy and nice? I’m just guessing here, got another year until I can apply :’)
